The latest exhibit for City of Culture is now open for viewing in Hull, and opened on 25th March 2017. Attached to the side of the Maritime Museum in Queen Victoria Square in the City is a piece of art called "Weeping Poppies".
The Weeping Poppies window was first seen at the Tower of London as part of an exhibit called "Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red". The poppy installation which runs from 25th March to 14th May 2017 is a concept by Paul Cummins an artist and the installation designed by Tom Piper.
Not only will people around the country be able to see this tour the UK, but there is also a different Poppy themed installation called "Wave of Poppies" These exhibits have been touring since July 2015 and will continue until December 2018.
